All started well, all be it a tad early for my liking. It was 5.30am when the alarm went off and I felt surprisingly awake having had a broken sleep in the travel lodge we had booked for the night before the race. In three weeks time I am taking part in the Original Mountain Marathon, OMM for short. It is a team orienteering marathon over two days, carrying all the equipment required to be self sufficient. So for the last week or two I have been brushing up on my map reading skills.
